Carlyn Jade (Batya) Barenholtz (she/they pronouns interchangeably) is a born-and-raised New Yorker who has just returned to the City after earning her BFA in Musical Theater and a double Specialization in Dramaturgy & Playwriting and Devising & Collaborative Theater from Boston Conservatory @ Berklee College of Music. As a youngin, they attended French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts, where they spent 10 summers growing into the artist they are now. She is also a veteran of the College Light Opera Company in Cape Cod, MA, where she participated in 25 shows over three seasons. She is a proud alumna of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in NYC, where she majored in Vocal Music. When they’re not doing the performing/devising thing, you can find them working in brand strategy, cycling, spending time with friends and love ones, or reveling in their full-time job as a cat mom to their Maine Coon mutt, Beatrice (proudly named for "Much Ado About Nothing"). 1/23 |
