Southern California native Matt Dunn (22) has been doing theatre throughout Riverside, Orange, and Los Angeles counties for as long as he can remember. He took his first acting class at the age of 8 and instantly fell in love. Matt began singing at an early age, studying many styles from classical to jazz, and started dancing around the age of 13. Matt was the recipient of 10 Inland Theatre League awards and 1 National Youth Theatre award by the age of 18. He then moved to Orange County to pursue a degree in musical theatre from California State University, Fullerton. Matt has been seen a number of times on the Cal State Fullerton stage, most notably as Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me, Kate and Young Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol. He also received a KCACTF nomination for his role in Spring Awakening. Matt will be portraying The Baker in CSUF's upcoming production of Into the Woods. He will be graduating with his BFA in Musical Theatre in the Spring. Matt has worked with a number of companies including Musical Theatre West, The Candlelight Pavilion, and Coeurage Theatre Company to name a few. His favorite regional credits include Jinx in Forever Plaid, Simeon in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Harvey Johnson in Bye, Bye Birdie. In addition to theatre, Matt has had much success in the classical music world He has had the honor of singing at Orchestra Hall in Chicago, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Matt plans to move to New York sometime in the near future to pursue a career in theatre. Matt thanks his family and friends for their constant love and support!
