Soprano Michele Sexton has been hailed in the
press as “tremendous”, “an artist worth discovering” with her “magnificent”,
“big, flexible voice and shining tone” and character portrayals that are
“mesmerizing”, “stirring” and “affecting”. Michele’s is a passionate,
life-long love of music and performing that has taken this versatile performer
to the stages of opera, operetta, concert, and musical theater.
Ms. Sexton has performed extensively with opera companies, festivals, theaters,
and musical groups throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, including
a six-week concert tour of China as the soprano soloist with the Hollywood
Concert Orchestra and critically acclaimed portrayals of the Beggar Woman
in Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd” with the Hawaii Opera Theater and the Pennsylvania
Upcoming engagements include an appearance with the Metropolitan Opera Guild
at Lincoln Center in NYC, in the “Flavors of Puccini” program singing excerpts
from the title role in Suor Angelica as well as several Holiday concerts.
In early 2019, Michele will make her debut with the St. Petersburg Opera
Co. in Florida as Lili Vanessi in “Kiss Me Kate”.
