Yuliya Staroverskaya








 Yuliya Staroverskaya (she/hers) is an actor, athlete and educator born in Odessa, Ukraine and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She has been seen in NYC productions and festivals, including: alt Hamlet (The Player's Theatre) Gi60 20th Year (The Tank), Romeo and Juliet (El Barrios Art Space), Love’s Labour’s Lost (American Theatre of Actors), Othello (Summit Rock). Yuliya speaks fluent Russian and is a proficient tennis player; playing, coaching and competing for over 20 years. She is a director, playwright and designer for youth theatre at No Limits Performing Arts Studio in Elmsford, NY (Wizard of Oz; Disney's The Descendants Musical), Elmwood Day Camp (Campers VS Counselors: An original Elmwood Production) and Brooklyn Acting Lab (Magic Lost and Found). She is a proud company member of Emit Theatre, Dialogue with Three Chords and Gone in 60 Seconds: International One Minute Play Festival. She has taught college acting classes at Long Island University Post and Centenary University. She currently teaches Voice & Speech, Sitcom Production and Feminist Theatre at the University of Mount Saint Vincent. She earned her BFA in Acting from CUNY Brooklyn College and her MFA in Acting from University of North Carolina Greensboro.
