A
Canadian-American hailing from the charming streets of Ann Arbor, Michigan,
Emilie Bienne is a dynamic performer whose talent knows no bounds. Her journey
in the world of entertainment began in dance studios and choir lofts, laying
a foundation for what would become a multifaceted, international career.
With fiery red hair and a presence that lights up every stage she steps on,
Emilie leaves a lasting impression wherever she goes. Her deep-rooted love
for rock and blues music was sparked by her father’s passion for the genre,
which filled their home with the sounds of legends and lit a creative fire
in her from an early age. The harmonica, in particular, holds a special place
in her heart—both a tool for expression and a symbol of her musical heritage.
A skilled multi-instrumentalist and live performer, Emilie brings her distinctive
style to every project she joins. Whether she’s laying down a groove on bass,
coloring a melody with keyboard textures, or breathing soul into a track
with harmonica, her contributions are heartfelt and unmistakable.
Her versatility as a vocalist spans genres and stages alike—from rock clubs
to concert halls. She has performed at Lincoln Center in New York City and
was a featured soloist in concert with Boheme Opera NJ, highlighting her
strong classical and theatrical roots alongside her contemporary work.
Currently, Emilie is channeling her energy into an original melodic metal
project with Al Javier, the lead guitarist of Bloodfate and IKILLYA. The
collaboration marks an exciting new chapter in her musical evolution—fusing
her theatrical roots, bluesy undertones, and love for heavy riffs into something
raw, emotional, and completely her own.
During the pandemic, Emilie found a surprising new platform—her backyard.
Known locally as the beloved “chicken lady,” she gained a devoted online
following through her quirky and entertaining “chicken feeds,” where her
humor and warmth shone through in a time of global uncertainty. It was unexpected,
unscripted, and very Emilie.
Her career has taken her across the globe—from performing live at Tokyo Disney,
where she also began writing original music, to having her first EP picked
up by Tower Records in Shibuya, a milestone that helped launch her presence
in Japan’s indie music scene.
Beyond the stage, Emilie’s talents extend to the screen. She’s brought heart
and complexity to roles in award-winning independent films like Beauty Is
No Show and appeared on major TV series including The Good Wife. Whether
on stage or on camera, Emilie brings a signature blend of authenticity and
emotional intelligence to everything she does.
A graduate of the Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Emilie
continues to expand her skills through ongoing training in acting, voice,
and a growing arsenal of instruments—including bass guitar, keys, and harmonica.
She also holds a deep appreciation for French language and culture, a passion
passed down from her Paris-raised mother. When she’s not immersed in music
or performance, Emilie’s probably off exploring one of her many side obsessions—horseback
riding, archery, or ballroom dancing.
With a resume as eclectic as it is impressive, Emilie Bienne is an artist
in constant motion—fierce, passionate, and impossible to ignore. Whether
she’s belting show tunes, rocking out on a metal track, or simply clucking
around with chickens, one thing is always true: Emilie brings her whole heart
to everything she touches.
