Kyle Erdos-Knapp








Kyle Knapp makes his Hawaii Opera Theatre debut as Tobias in Sweeney Todd.  He also will perform Flute in Benjamin Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2016.  He will sing Orff’s Carmina Burana with the New Jersey Festival Orchestra and Wilson in the world premiere of Scarlett Letter by Laurie Laitman at Opera Colorado..  

He made his at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis as Tobias in Sweeney Todd,  Crested Butte Music Festival as Tebaldo in I Capuleti e I Montecchi and as Remendado in Carmen and Tobias (Sweeney Todd)  at Pensacola Opera.  He was a member of Palm Beach Opera’s Young Artist Program and he sang Peter Quint / the Prologue in The Turn of the Screw.

He sang Father Confessor in Dialogue of the Carmelites at Opera Theater of St. Louis and Ramiro in La Cenerentola for the New Jersey Festival Orchestra.  

Performed Judas Maccabeus with the Octavo Singers in Schenectady, NY. soloist in The Defense of Corinth with Cantata Profana and Das Lied von der Erde with Blue Period Ensemmble at Carnegie Hall. 

Training includes Eastman School of Music and the University of Michigan and was  two-time prize winner at the Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions..
