Marcy Richardson

Soprano and belter Marcy Richardson recently launched a one-woman show, My Favorite Things,  featuring the works of Kurt Weill and New York theater composers at The Block, West Michigan Symphony's new cabaret space. Theater roles performed include the soprano track in Kurt Weill's Berlin to Broadway with Opera Columbus, Cinderella in Into the Woods and Lili Vanessi in Kiss Me Kate with the Brevard Music Center, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with Orlando Opera, Leonide in Triumph of Love and the Angel City Four in City of Angels at Timberlake Playhouse, as well as Rosie in Cabaret and a tribe member in Hair with Encore Productions in Bloomington, Indiana. Also a trained aerialist, Ms. Richardson's background in jazz and ballet led her to discover her passion for aerial hoop and pole, where she demonstrates great strength and flexibility. She is originally from Grosse Pointe, MI and graduated with both her MM and BM in voice from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
